The Berkey Water Filter Contaminants Guide

A lot of people are concerned about the safety of their tap water.   I’ve been to some countries where drinking the tap water can cause an all-day stay in the toilet.  Our tap water is generally safe in most areas in the U.S., but the taste can vary.  I use my Berkey daily instead of buying bottled water.   This infographic from The Daily Prep shows what contaminants the Berkey filters out.

  1. A good water filter is PRICELESS!

Our granddaughter absolutely could NOT tolerate tap water in any way, shape, or form without getting extremely sick. She was so sick a couple times where she had to be taken to the hospital for vomiting and dehydration. (A social services worker told us the tap water was “perfectly fine”.) Since stopping the usage of tap water, the baby’s been fine.

We won’t use tap water for anything more than necessary since the tap water smells and tastes like rodent urine when put through a coffee maker!

    • Hey Paul, Totally agree! I’ve lived in several areas where the tap tastes terrible, and sometimes looks awful too. Of course always told it’s safe, but you just never know. Thanks for the comment!
