Happy New Year to My Dear Readers

I am very glad to welcome this New Year. I won’t lie, this past year has been very challenging for me. My regular readers may have noticed I have not been able to post as frequently. We had a major health crisis in the Apartment Prepper household and it has not been easy. We are coping with both health issues and the financial impact of a hospital stay. I’m still paying off expenses for my own health crisis from the previous year and this current one has only compounded them. But I’m still here and will continue to post as much as I can.

As we celebrate the beginning of the another year, I’d like to thank you for making Apartment Prepper a part of your day.  I am grateful to be able to write and share what I’ve learned about preparing for emergencies.  In turn, I’ve also learned a lot from our community of readers.  Though my original intent for this blog was preparing for disasters in an apartment, it has grown to encompass a lot more:  frugal living, fitness and health, self-sufficiency, sustainability, safety, and many other aspects of a prepared lifestyle.

I can truly say our emergency supplies have really helped us these past few months. It is my hope that we can all help each other be prepared and cope with whatever difficulties come up, large or small.

I wish you and your family a healthy and prosperous 2023.

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.  Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.  Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”  Psalm 96: 1-3

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:18-19

  1. I just wanted to say thank you for a great website. I always enjoy reading your posts. I was doing my “Resolution List” on what we have done for prepping and I became overwhelmed with how little I felt that I had done. I read your post and you made me feel better and more motivated to step things up. I will be working on our emergency manuel this weekend with my husband and we have made a list of priority items. I even bought “The Prepper’s Pocket Guide” for a friend for Christmas and they are reading it word for word and asking me questions!
Keep up the great work and Happy New Year!!!
