No doubt you have been seeing that riots have been happening across many cities across the country. The killing of George Floyd while in custody of members of the Minneapolis Police Department has sparked widespread protests, leading to civil unrest.

What causes civil unrest?

According to the US Army Civil Disturbance Operations Manual:

In these modern times, demonstrations, civil unrest, public disorder, and riots happen for a number of reasons. Some of these reasons are economic hardships, social injustices, ethnic differences (leading to oppression), objections to world organizations or certain governments, political grievances, and terrorist acts. An event can be triggered by a single cause or a combination of causes.

Demonstrations may range from simple, nonviolent protests that address specific issues, to events that turn into full-scale riots.

Riots can happen anywhere

One minute, a group of people may join a peaceful demonstration, maybe lasting for an hour or so. Next thing you know, someone throws a bottle or breaks a window and rioting begins. In the chaos, building are vandalized, looted, people are killed.

How do your protect yourself?

In his article “I’ve Seen Where This Leads. It Will Only Take ONE SPARK to Lead to Devastating Chaos” Selco, who survived the Balkan war of the 90s without electricity, running water, or food distribution, indicates the number way to protect yourself is do not be there.

However, if you find yourself driving in an area where rioting has started:

  • Find an alternate route home – avoid main roads and instead take side streets.
  • Lock your windows and doors.
  • Watch out for pedestrians – there may be a lot of people milling around or trying to stop traffic.
  • Always keeps your gas tank at least half full – you don’t want to have to stop for gas at the worst possible moment.
  • Have extra food and water in the car, along with a survival kit.
  • Leave as soon as you can or you may get caught in a traffic nightmare.

If your home or property is threatened, you may have no choice but to lawfully arm yourself. In Minneapolis, some citizens protected businesses by arming themselves and standing together. This happened during the Los Angeles Riots back in 1992 when Korean American store owners stood guard and protected their businesses against looters.

If you decide to own a weapon, make sure you know how to use it, and have legal protection.

When riots are going on, you may have to spend more time sheltering at home. I know people are already tired of being on lockdown, but venturing outside if your area is beset with violent protests will only expose you to danger.

During these uncertain times, you must be mentally prepared and alert in case violence erupts around you.

  1. Civil unrest needs to be confronted with CITIZENS UNREST, and that means to protect yourself, have protection, and be armed or have deadly force close by. Civil unrest will go unchecked until it is stopped with the same level or stronger violence. Iy is a KILL or be KILLED situation, and for those that are at the head of these civil unrests, as in people like soros and the other communist factions. Their fate when caught be street justice,
