One of my favorite things to order at a coffee shop is cold brew coffee, especially now that the weather is warming up. Depending on where you go for coffee, the cost could add up. I decided to try making cold brew coffee myself. It turned out to be super easy. I’ll show you how to make your own cold brew coffee.
There are various ways to make it, but this is the one I tried. If you grind your own coffee, use a course ground. In this recipe, I just used store-bought ground coffee. I usually keep Dunkin or Starbucks coffee in the pantry. You can use any jar with a lid that will hold two cups; I used a Mason jar.
You will need:
5 tablespoons ground coffee
1/8-1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, according to your taste
2 cups of water
measuring spoons
strainer
jar with a lid
Directions on how to make your own cold brew coffee
Add the five tablespoons of ground coffee to the jar. Add the ground cinnamon. Add about half a cup of water to the mixture and stir well.
Add the rest of the water and keep stirring.
Cover and place the coffee mixture in the fridge for about 24 hours.
Strain the coffee grounds before using. Add milk, sugar, and ice.
That’s it! I make it everyday so I have iced coffee whenever I want.
