I had the opportunity to read a review copy of the new e-book written by the two Gs: Gaye Levy of Backdoor Survival and George Ure of Urban Survival: 11 Steps to Living a Strategic Life.
I really did not know what to expect when I first received it. I thought, “Who can really live a strategic life when there are so many pitfalls and variables ready to contend with?” This economy alone has caused many reversals of fortune. As it turned out, this book will actually provide some guidelines on how to navigate these same pitfalls that today’s fast paced life throws at you.
Each section covers matters that concern most average folks: health, money, food, energy consumption, and much more. It is very concise but is full of information, including links to references for those readers who want to learn more.
You won’t get a lot of fluff or platitudes that take up space. What you will get are lots of tactics that will help you live well during these challenging times. It is a fast read, but I recommend re-reading it after you finish so you can make a note of all the actionable tips.
When I read something new I make a mental note of what new thing did I actually learn from it and whether I implement this new thing. I can safely say I learned some good ideas that I’ve already started doing. I won’t say which ones – you will have to get the book and find out. Highly recommended!
