Today we are looking at Crafting with Paracord 50 Fun and Creative Projects Using the World’s Strongest Cord a new book offering step-by-step instructions and full-color photographs for a variety of practical and decorative projects.

You will find great projects to make this summer such as:

  • Bracelets
  • Bag straps
  • Leashes
  • Knife handle wraps
  • Keychains
  • Watchbands

The book gives step by step instructions as well as colorful illustrations that make them easy to understand.

I found the instructions to be easy to follow. With minimal supplies, you can make your own paracord creations that are both functional and decorative.  And, if you start now, you can give them as gifts by the time Christmas comes.

  1. My favorite use so far for paracord has got to be a rifle sling. The wife made me one a couple of months ago. It’s got to be one of the comfiest slings I’ve had and it only cost $10 bucks to make it, obviously it’ll also double as emergency rope should I ever get stuck in the woods with just my rifle, which is unlikely but it’s there.

  2. I’ve always favored paracord for shelter making. Also lanyards, dog leashes, emergency boot laces, and clotheslines when travelling.

  3. Paracord projects are a great way to start some diy projects for the hole family and this looks like a great way to start.

  4. I have never used paracord, but my daughter and I love to do crafts, so a book like this would be fun to try out something new that is actually useful! 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win.

  5. A good friend of mine has made me so many great items out of 550 paracord: verbrace, sling (like the type David slayed Goliath with), bracelets, key fobs, knives wrapped, and monkey fists. He also has been experimenting with weaving chain mail into the paracord for greater protection.

  6. Taught my nephew how to knit using Paracord instead of yarn because it made knitting more manly.

  7. I have a 550 sling for my AR and a dog leash for Husky. Can be used for just about anything and the book would be handy for new ideas. Nice!

  8. Uses I love for para cord, shoe laces, holding stuff together for my bug out bag, and dog leash braided of course.

  9. Remember,
When choosing a color for your paracord; make sure that the color works with it’s intended purpose. Fluorescent yellow is not good for camouflage.
