I wish everyone a Happy 4th of July! As we celebrate our country’s independence, let us remember the heroism and sacrifice that are required to maintain our freedom.
It’s also a good time to consider our own personal independence from whatever keeps us from living our best life: freedom from debt, consumerism, destructive habits, intolerance, divisiveness. Can we take more steps to live sustainably? We can’t all be off-grid, but we can all learn to be a little bit more self-sufficient as our freedom-loving ancestors had been.
We are blessed to be living in this great country and I am grateful.
