Peace and Joy to You this Christmas 2020

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Christmas season 2020 has me thinking about Christmases past, when we did all our usual holiday activities. We went about our days happily but never considered that there will come a time when things we took for granted such as going to church, eating at restaurants, going to the movies, and attending office or family parties may not be possible. I think about December 2019 when we had not yet heard of the coronavirus, yet it was already lurking somewhere. One of the lessons I have learned from the global pandemic is we can never really take anything for granted, even the simplest things like getting up on Monday morning to get ready for work, albeit grudgingly. Now, many people are unable to find work and wish they had a job to go to.

Yet Christmas offers us hope that this too shall pass, and we will all be stronger. We can still celebrate this special day whether alone or with others.

I wish you peace and joy this Christmas!

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. – Norman Vincent Peale

  1. A belated Merry Christmas and a happy new year / 2021 to you.

I personally feel I’ve let my preparedness slip this Christmas period and fallen into a trap of over-indulgence, extravagance, and wastefulness which is disgusting.

Back to the prepping from here on in!
